Athletic Club KC Fall Short, 2-1, at Boston

Tai sun Rang pitched a gem to lead Boston to victory over the Athletic Club KC, 2-1. Rang picked up the win for Boston, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. Marx Lieftink earned save number 2 this season.
The Athletic Club KC had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Patriots going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old right-handed pitcher Fred Koch came to the plate. Koch hit a 2-run double on a 3-1 fastball from Athletic Club KC hurler Jeffrey Garrett. It was Koch's 5th double of the year.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Rang told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
The Patriots improved to 25-25.
