Panama City Beats Montana, 5-2
|
Panama City beat Montana on the strength of starter Cy Dickson's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Min Der picked up the save, his 8th. Panama City has a record of 18-29, placing them 9th in the Premier League.
The Pandas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Piranhas going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old second baseman Nathan Pretty came to the plate. Pretty hit a grand slam home run on a full count fastball from Montana hurler Phil Berry. It was Pretty's 2nd home run of the year.
"We did a lot of things right," said Pretty.
