Grey Wolves Stumble, Lose to Voodoo
The New Orleans Voodoo defeated the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 8-4, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. New Orleans right fielder Francisco De La Cruz had a superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner was New Orleans reliever Ronnie Gómez, now 11-0. The loser was Ernie Jones. The Voodoo lead the Premier League by 3 games.

New Orleans used a clutch hit from Eduardo López to snatch the win. The catcher belted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"I like to lead by example," said De La Cruz. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
