Voodoo Lose By a Run at Ft. Worth, 4-3
|
Fans watched the Ft. Worth Cattlemen and the New Orleans Voodoo fight to the finish.
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen beat the New Orleans Voodoo, 4-3, at The Cattle Pen. The Cattlemen got a fine performance from second baseman Mhelter Tejano, who was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Javier Ariza picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-2. He struck out 4 in 6.1 innings.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Tejano, who finished 2nd in the PL in wins above replacement with 4.7 in 2053, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Cattlemen into the lead, 4-2.
"It was a solid team effort," said Tejano after the game.
