Patriots Lose to Rocketeers, 6-4
|
The Seattle Rocketeers picked up a win at Dunkin Donuts Park, knocking off the Boston Patriots, 6-4. Starting pitcher Todd Johnson played a key role in the triumph. Johnson went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0. With the win, Seattle elevates its record to 2-2.
Len Sandison, the slick-fielding center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Sandison contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put Seattle up, 2-0.
In postgame comments to the Seattle Daily News, Sandison said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
