Patriots Lose to Cattlemen, 6-1
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen beat the Boston Patriots, 6-1, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Starting pitcher Chase Davis was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Davis, now 4-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. With this game in the books, Ft. Worth is 21-10, Boston 15-16.
Ft. Worth relied on the bat of Lautaro Lacasa to get the win. The third baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the third inning to put the Cattlemen ahead, 2-1. For the game, Lacasa had 2 doubles and 1 triple in 5 at-bats.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Lacasa told the Ft. Worth News.
