|
With first baseman Vasan Parthiban leading the charge, the Athletic Club KC defeated the Buffalo White Walkers, 5-3, at Beyond the Wall. Parthiban, who is tied for 2nd in the PL in bases on balls with 20, went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Jeffrey Garrett got the win, improving to 5-1. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. The White Walkers, now 11-18, have lost 4 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for Athletic Club KC, had it not been for Jon Griffin, the 29-year old center fielder . Griffin contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Athletic Club KC up, 4-3.
