6-2 Loss Deepens Buffalo Funk
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Buffalo White Walkers.
New Orleans designated hitter Obke Veenman played a vital role in his team's 6-2 triumph over Buffalo. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for New Orleans. New Orleans reliever Herman Stone picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Mario Gonzáles took the loss.
Francisco De La Cruz took Mario Gonzáles deep in the top of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Voodoo on top, 4-2. In all, De La Cruz had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"I like the roll we're on," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
The losses continue to pile up for Buffalo, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
