Detroit Elite starter Joe Allen was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Long Island Lighthouse, 8-1. With this game in the books, Detroit is 63-39, Long Island 63-39.

The Lighthouse had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Elite going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old shortstop Rob Robinson came to the plate. Robinson hit a solo home run on a 0-2 fastball from Long Island hurler Howard Randolph. It was Robinson's 9th home run of the year.
