Lesage Grabs SL Reliever of the Year Award
Tuesday, November 3rd , 2054
He's a veteran presence in the Oakland Oaks bullpen and now Terry Lesage can say he's a 2054 award winner.
The bullpen ace was today named the United States Silver League Reliever of the Year Award winner.
"When you're 35 years old, your main objective is to just stay healthy and stay productive. I guess I did that this year," he said.
The award was won on the strength of a season that featured 28 saves in 41 relief appearances, with 73 strikeouts in 45.1 innings and a record of 3-2 to go with his 2.38 ERA.
Jerry Collins of the Mississippi Mockingbirds finished second in voting, while George Atwater of the Kingston Township Knights finished third.
