King of the Hill Announced by United States Silver League
Tuesday, November 3rd , 2054
What does it take to win the Outstanding Pitcher Award?
Just ask Howard Randolph of the Long Island Lighthouse -- the latest United States Silver League Outstanding Pitcher Award winner.
"My dad always told me to dream big and dream always," he said. "It's not like I shoot for the Outstanding Pitcher Award," he said. "I have big aspirations for what I want to do in this game and what I want to achieve in a long career."
The Lighthouse pitching ace made some of his dreams come true this year, winning 12 games and losing only 7. In 24 starts, Randolph registered a 2.51 ERA and limited other clubs to a .205 batting average. He fanned 223 in 157.2 innings and issued 50 walks.
Noud Taaij of the Mississippi Mockingbirds finished second in voting, while Rodrigo GarcĂa of the Kingston Township Knights finished third.
