Hollywood Loses Meyers for Year Monday, September 14th , 2054 A blow for Jeffery Meyers today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 7-8 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Meyers suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Hollywood Shredders are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Meyers's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. This year Meyers has chalked up a 4.50 ERA with no saves. In 5 relief appearances he has put up a 0-0 won-lost mark and struck out 7 batters in 6 innings. |
