Yakutin Tosses No-No Against Bullets Wednesday, July 29th , 2054 In a dominant outing, Ioachime Yakutin of the Oakland Oaks totally silenced the bats of the Baltimore Bullets, finishing with a no-hitter. In the Oaks' 2-0 victory, Yakutin faced only 30 batters, surrendered no hits, had 11 strikeouts and 4 walks. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Oakland manager DAshley GoAs said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Brandon Slouck had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game. "The Oaks had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Yakutin pitched a heck of a ballgame." Yakutin has a 3-3 season record so far. In 10 starts, he has fanned 94 batters in 74 innings with a 2.43 ERA.
