Randolph Tames Dirty Reds, 2-0
|
The Long Island Lighthouse picked up a win at The Lighthouse, knocking off the Dayton Dirty Reds, 2-0. Starting pitcher Howard Randolph played a key role in the triumph. The Dirty Reds have now dropped 7 straight.
Randolph, a native of Austin, Texas, was dealing all game. He kept Dayton hitters off-balance, while giving the Lighthouse 8 quality innings. Randolph threw 100 pitches, allowing 7 hits and striking out 10.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Randolph said in reaction to the win.
