Toledo Stingers starter Tom Johnston turned in a sterling performance against the Long Island Lighthouse, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. After today's action, Toledo sits at 30-32, while Long Island falls to 38-24.

Though he didn't earn the victory, Johnston kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Toledo offense came through. Over 8.1 innings, he allowed 3 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5.
