The Oakland Oaks wiggled past the Dayton Dirty Reds, 4-3, at Lang Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Oakland pitcher Tom Pegum. The loss makes Dayton 20-36.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Ostoja Popovic came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Dayton pitcher Michael Donovan, he hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Oakland on top, 4-3.

"The game of baseball will test you," said DAshley GoAs, the Oakland skipper. "This one tested us."
