Wright Plays Big Role in Toledo Win
|
In a well-pitched game between the Toledo Stingers and the Oakland Oaks, pitcher Ken Wright was fantastic. The Toledo left-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-0. Etana Nara closed the game out for Toledo, earning his 5th save. The 6th-place Stingers raised their record to 20-18.
Wright, a native of Kenwood, Ohio, was dealing all game. He kept Oakland hitters off-balance, while giving the Stingers 7 quality innings. Wright threw 96 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 8.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Wright said.
