Lighthouse Top Oaks, 2-0
|
The Long Island Lighthouse got a magnificent performance from pitcher Roger Raper, who muffled the Oakland offense en route to a tight 2-0 Lighthouse win at The Lighthouse. The winning pitcher was Raper, now 1-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 2. Earning his 1st save of the year was Christopher Tracy.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Christopher Tracy didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Oakland trailing 2-0, Tracy retired Pineki Walekino to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Tracy, with a wink.
Long Island goes to 12-9.
