The Long Island Lighthouse beat the Dayton Dirty Reds, 9-2, at The Lighthouse. The Lighthouse got a fine performance from first baseman Jesús Serrano, who slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Earning his 1st save for Long Island was Ted Browning. The Lighthouse raised their record to 7-7.

With runs few and far between, the Lighthouse had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Long Island came in the bottom of the third inning, when second baseman Francisco Daulong delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Sylvain Richard and made the score 2-1, Lighthouse. Daulong was 1 for 4.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Daulong told the Long Island Chronicle. "Whatever it takes."
