Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Long Island Lighthouse and the Toledo Stingers. Long Island won it, 3-1. Long Island starter Manuel Martínez was in command. The loss makes Toledo 5-6.

Long Island used the timely hitting of Oasiz Wiesblatt to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lighthouse on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Martínez told the Long Island Chronicle. "But we take nothing for granted."
