In a tight game between the Baltimore Bullets and the Dayton Dirty Reds, pitcher Augusto Alfonzo was terrific on the mound. The Baltimore left-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. Yong-zhan Long recorded the save for Baltimore, his 1st of the season. Baltimore, now 2-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
The Bullets grabbed the lead in the top of the fifth. With no one out, Calvin Myrick, who signed a 2-year contract worth $5,200,000 on 02/23/2054, hit a solo home run off Jorge González, putting Baltimore in front, 2-0. For Myrick, it was his 1st home run of the season.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Myrick.
