3MSL Announces Outstanding Player Award
Friday, September 19th , 2053
At the age of 19, Emílio Núñes of the MSL St. Louis Coeur could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2053 was good enough to win the shortstop the M3L Mexican Summer League Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .359 batting average this year, as well as a .388 on-base percentage. He played 49 games and racked up 74 hits, 10 doubles, 6 triples, 3 home runs, 35 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 12. Peter Faddeev of the MSL Buckhead Bowties finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Jorge González of the MSL Echo Park Lakers finished third with 1 first place vote.
