MSL Las Vegas's Funk Bags 3MSL Batting Award Monday, September 1st , 2053 Beach balls were coming in at Riley Funk in August and he banged, bashed and blasted them all over the park, putting up a .410 batting average and hauling in the M3L Mexican Summer League Batter of the Month trophy. The 18-year-old MSL Las Vegas second baseman collected 16 hits last month in 9 games. He put up 5 home runs, 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored. Funk also drew 2 walks and compiled a .452 on-base percentage. For the season Funk is currently batting .273 with 9 home runs and 28 RBIs. In 44 games he has reached base at a .327 rate and scored 30 runs to date. |
