Tung and Iolana Swapped Saturday, July 19th , 2053 The Baseball News Network is reporting that the Pandas and Dirty Reds have consummated a trade. San Mateo will receive 16-year old minor league RHP Cristovão Mineiro, 23-year old minor league RHP Kim-Hu Tung, 21-year old minor league LF Samuel Lopez, 22-year old minor league RHP Chip Sizemore, and 16-year old minor league 1B Kane Fullalove in a swap for 33-year old LHP Nick Joseph, 30-year old SS Kalino Iolana, 30-year old LF Marcos Janero, and $9,700,000 in cash. A league analyst called the trade a "fairly even transaction." San Mateo will retain a portion of Janero's remaining contract. This season in 55 games Iolana is batting .315 with 4 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 27 times. |
