The outcome might have been different had it not been for Hale. In the bottom of the eighth inning, when the Kingfishers were trailing 3-1, Hale delivered a two-out 3-run home run for Pittsburgh, giving his team the lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Pittsburgh manager Tyler Johnson.
