4-2 Leviathan Win over Bowties Evens Season Record
|
The MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan downed the MSL Buckhead Bowties, 4-2, at MSL Nova Scotia Ballpark. Alfredo Hernández led the way, going 2-for-4 for MSL Nova Scotia. Carlos Colón, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save. MSL Nova Scotia, at 22-22, holds down 7th place in the 3L MSL.
Hernández contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for MSL Nova Scotia in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Hernández took a slider from Jaime Trujillo and stroked the home run to left-center. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Leviathan to leap in front, 3-1.
MSL Buckhead manager Albert Emery said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
