Leviathan Take Down Elite, 5-3
|
The MSL Detroit Elite got a sterling performance from pitcher John Postgate, but the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan still prevailed, 5-3. Postgate threw 9.2 innings of 6-hit ball. Carlos Colón snagged the win in relief. In 3 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 4-2 on the season. MSL Nova Scotia now sits at 19-21, while MSL Detroit falls to 17-23.
MSL Nova Scotia needed the clutch hitting of Tomás Corral to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Leviathan on top, 5-3. For the game, Corral had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Corral.
