MSL Las Vegas Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the MSL St. Louis Coeur and MSL Las Vegas Flamingos.
MSL Las Vegas starter Gilberto Cruz had a strong outing against the MSL St. Louis Coeur at MSL Las Vegas Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Cruz went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-0.
Jesús Díaz, who is tied for 10th in the 3MSL in home runs with 8, aided the MSL Las Vegas cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3.
"Tough loss," said MSL St. Louis manager José Moreno. "But we'll learn from it."
With the win, MSL Las Vegas raised its record to 24-16.
