Behind an impressive start by Huibert Illidge, New Orleans beat Boston, 1-0. Illidge went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. The loss drops Boston to 8-7.

New Orleans used a well-timed hit by Andrés Durán to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Durán said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
