San Mateo picked up a win at Lang Park, bumping off the Panama City Piranhas, 4-3. Pitcher Sidney Petty was a major reason the Dirty Reds emerged victorious. The winning pitcher was Petty, now 2-2. He tossed 8.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Panama City is 5-9 after the defeat.

Sasha Mamchenko chipped in for San Mateo, stroking a crucial 2-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Panama City skipper Brian Talamante.
