Montana and New Orleans duked it out and the Pandas came out victorious.

The New Orleans Voodoo got a superb performance from pitcher Pedro Cruz. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Montana. The Pandas won the game, 4-1. Cruz threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. Nick Joseph earned the win for Montana. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 7-1. Kenny McFadden earned his 3rd save in 3 chances.

Montana used the bat of Hsiao-lou Rui to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Pandas ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"We put together a nice win," Rui said.

The Pandas, at 56-41, have now won 4 straight.
