The Boston Patriots picked up a win at Dunkin Donuts Park, taking down the Greenville 84s, 6-3. Starting pitcher Martin Luther was a big reason why. Luther, now 2-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Getting the save was Heath Hennington, his 2nd.

The 84s had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Patriots going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 32-year old second baseman Juan Lugo came to the plate. Lugo hit a run-scoring triple on a first pitch fastball from Greenville hurler Michael Shepard. It was Lugo's 4th triple of the year.

"Martin made his pitches," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.

Boston's record now stands at 48-47, placing them 5th in the Premier League.
