Win Streak Now at 6 for Kingfishers

The Pittsburgh Kingfishers topped the New Orleans Voodoo, 4-1, in United States Premier League action at Pittsburgh Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Pittsburgh pitcher Brian Folger. Folger, now 7-4, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Pittsburgh is now riding a 6-game win streak.
The Kingfishers got a big at-bat from second baseman Kyung-chul Son. For the game, Son went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Pittsburgh a 2-0 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Pittsburgh manager Tyler Johnson. "It's usually not just one thing."
