Kingfishers Need Extra Innings to Top Dirty Reds, 5-3
The Pittsburgh Kingfishers faced a tough opponent in San Mateo pitcher Sylvain Richard, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Lang Park by a final score of 5-3. Richard went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. Félix González earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. Pittsburgh has a record of 41-41, placing them 5th in the Premier League.

Pittsburgh used the timely hitting of Seung-jae Kyong to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Kingfishers ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
