Patriots Get Past New Orleans for 3-2 Win
The New Orleans Voodoo got a superb performance from pitcher Mario Gonzáles, but the Boston Patriots still won the game, 3-2. Gonzáles threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Boston reliever Heath Hennington picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tim Strong was saddled with the loss. Boston is now 33-37, while New Orleans is 35-35.

Bill Zimmerman aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 3 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Zimmerman said his team "played with determination."
