Voodoo Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Dirty Reds
The New Orleans Voodoo picked up a win at The Voodoo Lounge, knocking off the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 5-3. On the mound for New Orleans was right-hander Mario Gonzáles, who played a pivotal role in the win. Tim Strong was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 12 save opportunities. With the win over San Mateo, the Voodoo improved to 30-30.

Chipping in for New Orleans was center fielder Anthony Roosemont. He stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Roosemont went 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"Mario was Mario," said Voodoo manager Chase Sims. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
