The Montana Pandas beat the Boston Patriots, 5-4, at Dunkin Donuts Park. The Pandas got a fine performance from first baseman Chan-ho Shinn, who went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. Alonso Álvarez got the win, improving to 4-3. He held the Patriots to 4 runs on 4 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 5. Montana now sits at 28-25, while Boston falls to 27-26.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Lung Chaim? The Montana right fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Pandas on top, 5-4. For the game, Chaim had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
