Hale Powers Kingfishers to 8-2 Win
|
Brenton Hale was a vital contributor to the 8-2 Pittsburgh victory over New Orleans. The Kingfishers right fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. António Haritos picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mario Gonzáles was tagged with the loss. Pittsburgh has a record of 27-22, placing them second in the Premier League.
Hale contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Pittsburgh in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Hale took a cutter from Mario Gonzáles and stroked the home run to right. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Kingfishers to leap in front, 2-1.
