The Montana Pandas picked up a win at Lang Park, taking down the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 5-2. Starting pitcher Steven Carlson was a big reason why. Carlson, now 4-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Hugh Mann picked up the save, his 3rd.

Montana took a 5-2 lead on Ron Pollard's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off San Mateo pitcher Michael Donovan in the top of the eighth.

"I felt good up there," said Pollard. "I saw the ball well."

Montana occupies second place in the Premier League at 26-20.
