New Orleans Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The New Orleans Voodoo beat the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 6-5, in part because of right fielder Robert Rodríguez. He was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. New Orleans goes to 20-24, San Mateo to 19-25.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With New Orleans trailing 5-4, Rodríguez hit a fastball from Chris Plautz for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Voodoo had a walk-off win.

"Good win," said Rodríguez. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
