White Walkers Win 4th Straight, Take Down Mockingbirds, 4-2
|
Noud Taaij pitched well, but the Mississippi Mockingbirds still lost the game, falling 4-2 to the Buffalo White Walkers at Magnolia Park. Grant Gremel came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Mario Rosales earned the save, his 13th, for the White Walkers.
Buffalo needed the clutch hitting of Mitsuoki Kogawa to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the White Walkers on top, 3-2. For the game, Kogawa had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I like our mindset right now," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau.
The White Walkers, now 22-10, have won 4 in a row.
