Koch Pops Two Homers in 7-1 Win for Boston
The Boston Patriots defeated the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 7-1, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Boston right fielder Fred Koch had a superb performance. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Jorge Enríquez, the winner, improved to 3-0. He held Pittsburgh to no runs on 3 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Boston raised its record to 14-11 with the win.

With Boston leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Koch hit a sinker from Brian Folger for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Patriots ahead, 4-0.

Koch told a Boston Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
