Salinas Selected 3MSL's Best Player
Monday, September 18th , 2051
At the age of 19, Gabriel Salinas of the MSL Buckhead Bowties could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2051 was good enough to win the first baseman the M3L Mexican Summer League Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .326 batting average this year, as well as a .403 on-base percentage. He played 48 games and racked up 62 hits, 19 doubles, no triples, 12 home runs, 46 RBIs and 31 runs scored.
He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Emílio Guerrero of the MSL Charleston Battery finished second in voting, while Szeto Liu of the MSL Kingston Township Knights finished third.
