Friday, October 6th , 2051
He may have less experience than most of his USPL Double A peers, but that didn't slow Shichirobei Hisamatsu down at all in 2051.
At the age of 24, the Mercer Island first baseman has been named the winner of the USPL Double A Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .300 batting average and a .381 on-base percentage this year. In 99 games he piled up 113 hits, 11 doubles, no triples, 30 home runs, 83 RBIs and 78 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 10. Ji-hoon Ku of the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles finished second in voting, while Jim Willis of the Virginia Beach Whales finished third.
