PAA Names Pierogis Mercado Winner Monday, August 21st , 2051 José Mercado went on a hitting spree last week against USPL Double A pitchers and today copped the Player of the Week Award. The Squirrel Hill Pierogis center fielder peppered the opposition with 10 hits in 19 at-bats, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
