Baltimore pitcher Jorge Souza did his part in helping his team beat the Oakland Oaks, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Souza went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 10. His record improves to 5-4. Rafael Medina closed the door for Baltimore, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
With Baltimore leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Juan Andrés Martí hit a 2-run single off Oakland pitcher Nick Joseph. It put the Bullets ahead 3-0.
After the game, Baltimore manager Brandon Slouck applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
Baltimore's record now stands at 40-26, placing them third in the Silver League.
