Grey Wolves Pick Up 3-2 Road Win Over MSL Buckhead
|
In a low-scoring affair between the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves and the MSL Buckhead Bowties, pitcher Rhys Buggins was the difference between victory and defeat. The MSL Vancouver right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Grey Wolves win. The winning pitcher was Buggins, now 8-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. The Grey Wolves, now 29-17, have won 4 in a row.
The result might have been different for MSL Vancouver, had it not been for Maël Dumont, the 17-year old first baseman . Dumont stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put MSL Vancouver up, 3-2. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Buggins said after the game.
