Knights Pick Up 2-1 Win
|
MSL Montana Ballpark was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
The MSL Kingston Township Knights beat the MSL Montana Pandas, 2-1, at MSL Montana Ballpark. Starting pitcher Iher El Ouaer was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. El Ouaer got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 2 hits and walked 1 over 4.1 innings. El Ouaer allowed no runs.
MSL Kingston Township center fielder Szeto Liu contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 42nd hit of the season and put the Knights ahead, 2-0.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Liu.
With the victory, the Knights upped their record to 18-15.
