The exploits of designated hitter Adrik Wirgasoff, who is tied for 5th in the 3MSL in triples with 2, helped the MSL Montana Pandas defeat the MSL Kingston Township Knights, 4-2. Wirgasoff went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. The Pandas now have a record of 20-11.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Pandas had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when third baseman Bob Campbell hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Lorenzo Silva and made the score 3-2, Pandas. Campbell went 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
Wirgasoff expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
