Northern Lions BC Beat Divided, 3-2
The MSL D.C. Divided and MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC provided some drama for the home crowd.

MSL Thunder Bay starter Steve McMillian had a strong outing against the MSL D.C. Divided at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. McMillian got the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. McMillian allowed 2 runs.

The Divided had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Northern Lions BC going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old right-handed pitcher Joshua Gatchalian came to the plate. Gatchalian hit a 2-run home run on a 3-1 fastball from MSL D.C. hurler Tony Valdés. It was Gatchalian's 1st home run of the year.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," McMillian said.

The 9th-place Northern Lions BC have a record of 11-14.
